Jun 1st - Seattle I lost to Meralomas I. Merolomas won the toss and elected to bat, under sunny conditions, Seattle bowlers bowled well throughout the innings with steadily getting wickets and keeping the runs low. Dropped catches hurt SCC1's chances to packup the batting side for a low score. Merolomas ended up with 205 in 50 for 7. Seattle lost four quick wickets. Hitesh and Bunti Sondhi steadied the innings. After Sondhi got out on a questionable call, Seattle did not have much hope to make the the runs required as the run rate kept climbing. SCC1 were all out for 114 in 41 overs.

May 25th - Seattle lost Salim Akbar. Seattle-I won the toss and elected to field under sloppy and wet conditions. Despite early loss of wickets by Salim Akbar, they batted steady and pounced on mistakes by Seattles bowlers. Zia bowled well, considering bowling with a wet ball and soggy run ups (10o/33r/3w). Salim Akbar were all out for 176. Seattle batted under much dry conditions, but the lack of form showed in all of SCC batsmen who could not keep the ball down on a slow wicket. Salim Akbar capitalized by not missing any catches. The only glimmer of hope was when Hitesh(26) and BuntiSondhi(22) were at bat. Runs started flowing at a steady rate and both batsmen were looked comfortable at the crease. After Hitesh got out, the tail followed. Seattle-I were all out 114. Click here for details...

May 4th - Seattle I game at Sperling with Ismaili 1 got rained-out.

Apr 27th - Seattle I home game with Brockton Point got rained-out.

 

Seattle II Scorecards

Saturday, Aug 24th Seattle II played with Fraser Valley at beautiful Upper Brockton on one of the most glorious days in the Northwest - almost Paradise. Seattle batted great setting a total of 204 in 45 overs. Great batting from Kevin 29, Navaal 30 and Furqan 33. Fraser Valley starting hitting the boundaries right from the start. Seattle dropped a couple of easy catches in the first couple of overs, lost the game in the 36th over after taking 6 wickets.

Saturday, Aug 17th Seattle II vs Burrard. Seattle were put to bat on a slow grassy wicket. Seattle shadowed by bad luck and good bowling from Burrard could only manage 63...lowest score of the year. Seattle bowled well and put a good fight, lost the game after managing to take 4 wickets.

Jul 13th. Seattle II won the game with Northshore II. Seattle scored 183 all out in 43 overs. Northshore were all out at 155. Details pending...

Jun 16th, 2002 - Seattle II vs Burrard. Burrard won the toss and put Seattle to bat. Seattle batting struggled to get 3 runs an over and were 60 at 20 over. Seattle were all out 148 in 38 overs. Under tremendous Seattle bowling, Burrard could not score their usual fiery batting. They were 5 down after 20 overs with 76 runs. Seattle capatilized and took some faboulous catches and got Burrard all out 126. After this game, Seattle II is 6-2. Details pending...

Saturday, Jun 8th, 2002 - Seattle II vs Ismaili II game in Seattle has been forfeited be Ismaili. After this forfeiture, Seattle II is 5-2.

Jun 01, 2002, Seattle II vs West Vancouver I. Seattle won the toss and elected to bat on one of the nicest grounds in Vancouver, Hugo Ray. A total batting collapse, Seattle all out at 98. Seattle tried to put a great fight in bowling and fielding, restricting West Van to 29 in the first 15 overs with 3 wickets. After the change in bowling West Vancouver starting hitting boundaries and managed to get the total in the 30th over. Details pending...

May 26th Seattle II vs Richmond II. Seattle II put a enormous total of 194 against stiff Richmond bowling. Furqan 78, Ashraf 29, Mansoor 27. Richmond responded with scoring right from the start. Great batting from Chris 88. Richmond won with a boundary in the 39th over. Details pending...

May 18th - Seattle II Vs Merolomas II. Seattle won the toss and elected to bat on a drizzly morning. The ball got wet early and stopped swinging in the air. With stable batting from Muslim (21) and Ashraf (29), Seattle were 61 at 20 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. After the water break, great batting from Faisal (47), Seattle scored a total of 169 all out on the second last ball of the 40 over. Lomas opening batsmen had difficulty battiing against Gulli's and Ashraf's swing bowling. Lomas barely managed 11 runs in the first 10 overs. Gulli kept bowling and bowled his 8 overs with an impressive figures of 8o4m8r. With this low score the run rate was mounting, the middle order batting tried to hit the boundaries but lost wickets to fabulous bowling from Anwar, Aslam, and Sunny. Last 4 overs Lomas needed 44 runs to wins. A great fight from Murray Reed, his 55 brought Lomas closer to the target but could not make it. He gave up in the last over where he needed 18 runs to tie. May 11th - Seattle II Vs NorthShore II. NorthShore won the toss and elected to field on a beautiful sunny spring day at Norgate Park in Vancouver, BC. Seattle started very slow with 48 runs after 20 overs. Great batting from Bunti Vikas and Faisal Awan brought the run rate up and Seattle were 100 at 30 overs. With only three wickets down, Seattle were in a commanding position to score fast. Scoring at 8 runs an over in the last 10 overs Seattle had a comfortable total of 180 runs. NorthShore started with an explosive run rate of 7 in the first 8 overs. Spinner Anwar and Aslam calmed the situation and with a few maiden-overs the run rate was back to 5. NorthShore kept loosing wickets and were all out at 147. Seattle won by 33 runs. Click here for details...

May 4th - Seattle II vs Windies. Windies won the toss and elected to bat on an overcast day with chances of rain. Seattle scoring 3 runs an over kept loosing wickets and were 63 at the 20 over water break with 4 outs. Great batting from Yatin 40 not out. Seattle were all out 112 in 37 overs. Great swing bowling from both Ashraf and Gulli kept Windies from executing their shots. Ashraf took 3 wickets of 12 runs. At 20 over water break Windies were 48 and lost 6 wickets. Windies under pressure tried to accelerate the run rate but with Aslam's off-breaks and Abid's outcutters were unable and were all out for 85. Seattle II won by 27 runs. Click here for details...

Apr 28th - Seattle II vs Kitsalano. Kitsalano won the toss and elected to bat on a fabulous sunny day. They were 68 for 3 at the 20 over mark. After, which they lost quick wickets. Great bowling from Anwar and Sunny, Kitsalano scumbed to a total of 132 all out in the 39th over. Seattle started very slowly, 39 runs in 20 overs. With the help from Khalid, Bhasker, Sunny and Yatin's batting, Seattle scored 134 in the 39th over. Seattle won by 2 wickets. Click here for details...

 

Seattle A Scorecards

May 25th - SCC-A vs KCCC. KCCC put on respectable total of 200 in 40 overs losing 9 wickets. (Anwar 4-41). SCCA started with a good opening partnership with Rahul (32) and Anwar (26) at 5 runs an over. Yatin (57) and Tito (19) kept up the pace scoring 6 to 7 runs an over. Critical wickets fell in the last six overs and SCCA came short of reaching the target by 26 runs (Faizan 6-24). Click here for details...

May 5th - SCCA 121 for 9 in 40 overs. Yatin 34, Ranjan 18. Bowling - Hitesh 2/17, Naveed 2/17. SCCB won 122 for 9. Hitesh 24, Faisal 19. Bowling - Bunti Sarai 3/27, Donovan 3/23, Wayne 2/29. Click here for details...

 

Seattle B Scorecards

Sep 21st - SCCB beat KCCC by 1 wicket to keep their hopes alive for the NWCL championship. Set to score 200 Seattle slumped to 44/7 in 17 overs. A hundred run partnership between Naveed Deen (46) and Bunti Vikas (46) followed by a unbeaten 50 run partnership by Rakesh Joshi and Zia Khan saw SCC home with 2 balls to spare. Earlier KCCC were well poised at 110/1 at the break but a solid fight by SCC bowlers aided by the fielders held KCCC to 200. Two wickets for Khalid Hassan, Rakesh Joshi, Naveed Deen and Mansoor Bhatti.

Aug 25th - Seattle B played its first game of the Super League with Beaverton. SCC B were put to bat and scored 230/9 in 40 overs( Bunti Vikas 49 not out, Ali 31, Faisal 31). Beaverton were 159 all out (Rakesh 3 wickets, Zia & Khalid 2 wickets). SCC B will play next game with MSCC 1 on Saturday, September 7th at home. The Super League is a round robin of top 4 teams from North and 2 from South. Team that finishes on the top of this league will be the NWCL champions.

May 25th - SCC-B v WSU at WSU. WSU 154 in 40 overs after 9 wickets (Imran 47, Siddharth 38, Ashwin 31, Rakesh 3 wickets). SCC-B 60 all out (Khalid 23, Joydeep 5 wickets). WSU won by 94 runs.

May 19th - SCC B v KCCC at Fort Dent.
SCC B 179 all out (Mansoor 48, Rakesh 31, Hitesh 28). KCCC 120 all out (Naveed 3 wkts, 2 each for AJ, Sunny and Rakesh).
SCC B win by 59 runs.

May 5th - SCCA 121 for 9 in 40 overs. Yatin 34, Ranjan 18. Bowling - Hitesh 2/17, Naveed 2/17. SCCB won 122 for 9. Hitesh 24, Faisal 19. Bowling - Bunti Sarai 3/27, Donovan 3/23, Wayne 2/29. Click here for details...
